PODIATRIC MEDICINE & SURGICAL SERVICES

Welcome to High Desert Foot & Ankle Specialists

Dr. Tommy Roe has been practicing podiatric medicine and surgery for over 20 years. He completed an intensive process which led to board certification and continues his education to keep up with industry standards and requirements to maintain his certification status. Dr. Roe is board certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rear foot & ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. He has a four-year postgraduate podiatric medical degree (DPM) and completed three years of residency training at two different surgical programs. One was at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and the other at Texas A&M Health Science Center through Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. While in San Antonio, he trained at the Texas Diabetes Institute, which at the time was one of the first centers in north America to focus on comprehensive diabetic care. Through these programs, Dr. Roe received specialized training in diabetic limb salvage, reconstructive surgery, deformity correction and sports medicine.

Dr. Roe is trained to provide comprehensive medical and surgical care for a wide spectrum of foot and ankle conditions, including common to complex disorders and injuries that affect people of all ages. He is uniquely trained to detect the early stages of diseases that exhibit warning signs in the lower extremities, such as diabetes, arthritis and cardiovascular disease, and manage foot conditions that may pose an ongoing threat to a patient’s overall health. He regularly collaborates with primary doctors and other specialists in the hospital and office setting to ensure our patients receive the best and most comprehensive care available.

Dr. Roe is also trained to provide a wide range of non-surgical care to correct podiatric conditions of the foot, ankle and lower leg. He treats ingrown toenails, heel pain, neuroma pain, diabetic foot care and complications due to the disease as well as amputation prevention, infections, sports injuries, overuse injuries, sprains, biomechanical correction and bracing, arthritis, trauma, fracture repair of both the foot and ankle, and so much more.

We encourage you to browse our site, visit our practice and meet Dr. Roe and our exceptionally experienced staff. If you have any questions, please reach out to us. We would love to hear from you.
